We didn't start RevoraKey in a tech lab. We started it at a front desk.

For over a decade, we worked inside the hotel industry — managing distribution, negotiating OTA contracts, and watching independent hoteliers fight a battle that got harder every year. The OTAs kept raising commissions. The big chains kept spending more on loyalty programmes. And the independent hotel — the one with real character, real service, real soul — kept getting squeezed.

We saw a 45-room boutique in Marrakech pay more in Booking.com commissions than it spent on staff salaries. We watched a family-run resort in Portugal lose a direct booking because their website took eight seconds to load and their booking engine looked like it was built in 2009.

The technology to fix all of this existed. It just wasn't built for them. Enterprise platforms wanted six-figure contracts. Point solutions created more chaos than they solved. And the OTAs were happy to keep things exactly as they were.
